What personal information do I need to enter to post a comment?

Your name is the only required field, but we have a fairly in-depth filtering system. The more information you provide the more likely your comment is to be immediately approved.

Plus, we do appreciate if you include your email address or other contact information. Many of our readers post some great comments. If we have any questions or are interested in hearing more from you for a future piece, your contact information allows us to reach you. Please note that we have a strong privacy policy and will never sell this information or otherwise provide it. Our community is very important to us.

    Why was my comment removed?

We greatly appreciate hearing your opinions. For the most part, we will not remove comments (good or bad) that are on topic with the article. After all, we all have different opinions and many of your comments have given us a new way to look at the idea or more information. However, we will remove comments that are spam, off-topic, overly belligerent, insulting or a personal attack against an author or other user.

Why did you post that? It’s old news.

We post articles and topics that are being widely discussed by those working in or fascinated by technology. While we always try to cover new stories, review and technology in the world, we may revisit a topic or wait until there is more information before posting it. If you have heard of or seen something before, you are ahead of the game. Let us know what new information you have heard on the topic or thoughts.

Why do you post rumors and unofficial information?

We will not post just anything, but much of the business world involves around rumors and unofficial information. If an important piece of information is being talked about that is close to your business, we know you want to hear about it. Now, we do not expect anyone to make a “move” until there is more information, but it never hurts to consider a few strategic “what if” scenarios.

What if I found inaccurate information in an article?

We deal with a large volume of information and news. We do our best to provide quality information, but we are only human. If you find more up to date information or an error, please let us know and we will correct it. If you point out the error in the comment to the article, we will likely correct the error and remove your comment, since it would then be off topic.

Where is The Technology Suits based?

In this virtual world, the word “based” means several things. Our actual headquarters is in the office of our parent company Better Living Products. The bulk of our research and writings are done out of Guntersville, Alabama and Chicago, Illinois. Although, we do travel a good bit and have contributors from across the globe.

Why Chicago and Alabama? With approximately 3 million people in Chicago and 5 million people in Cook County, Chicago’s position as one of the country’s largest cities makes it a central hub for new technology and research. A few of Chicago’s larger technology companies include Motorola, Boeing, Brunswick, BorgWarner, Tellabs, U.S. Cellular, Midway Games and others.

Many do not think of Alabama as a technology front mover, but this center of the South has grown up. Looking only in the north of the state, Huntsville is home to 1) Intergraph Corporation, 2) sizeable offices for Boeing, Northrop Grumman, LG Electronics and Lockheed Martin 3) Redstone Arsenal which houses several military installations, plus external associate firms 4) NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center 5) many other large technical installations and smaller R&D houses. And, let’s not forget how many of us went to the U.S. Space Camp in Huntsville as a kid.

Our office in Guntersville places us only 30 minutes away from Huntsville and 45-60 minutes from Birmingham. In addition, Guntersville Lake, one of the world’s largest man-made lakes at 69,000+ acres, also serves as a vacation spot for many of our contacts within the technology and game industries. Without sounding too much like a commerical, we recommend Covenant Cove if you visit.

    2. Social Networking: Is There a Market? Next Steps? Is it Meetro?

What kind of feedback did you get on this Meetro tool?
Together with four other students, I’m looking into the issue of social networks. Meetro is clearly an interesting concept. It would be helpful to understand what people think of it. In case you have some comments and could send some quotes or user reactions back to us, that’ll be great!

      Thanks,
